This program allows you to obtain financial assistance for different types of support needed in order for you to pursue your education at a particular institution (specialized services and adapted transportation), or at home (resource materials), in the event where no organization or programme covers these needs. This program has two sections:
– Youth: The Allowance for Special Needs Program for Youth is intended for students who attend preschool, elementary school or secondary school in the private sector. If the student has special needs that limit his or her learning activities, this program will enable him or her to obtain the material resources required at home to pursue his or her studies, provided those needs are not already covered by another program or organization.
– Adults: The Allowance for Special Needs Program is intended for adult students at the high school level (vocational training or adult education), college and university education. It provides financial assistance for the various types of support required to offset the obstacles to pursue your studies at an educational institution (specialized services, accessible transportation services and housing allowance) or at home (material resources), if applicable, provided those needs are not already covered by another program or organization.
